Mark your calendars for these local Roaring Fork Valley events this month.

Larry Yazzie: Native American Fancy Dancer
June 8 – September 1, 3, 4, 5 p.m.
Ride the gondola up to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park for one-of-a-kind performances beginning at 3 p.m., 4 p.m., and 5 p.m., with Native American Fancy Dancer Larry Yazzie. This is a recurring event on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday afternoons through Labor Day.

Free Music in Aspen
June 10, 1:30 p.m.
Presented by The Semi Electric String Orchestra, enjoy Roberto Arundale in a free solo cello concert in Aspen’s Francis Whitaker Park. 

Free music series in Snowmass
June 10 – August 26, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. – doors open at 5:30 p.m.
A Snowmass summer tradition 28 years in the making, the Snowmass Free Concert Series takes place every Thursday evening from June 10 to August 26 (plus a Fourth of July bonus concert), on Fanny Hill.

Friday Afternoon Club: Rodrigo Arreguin
June 11, 18, 25 – 4 p.m.
Ride the gondola up to the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park for for Friday Afternoon Club featuring Glenwood Springs’ local musician, Rodrigo Arreguin. Purchase any ticket to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park to hear Rodrigo play in the plaza by the gift shop starting at 4 p.m.

Fridays on the Mall
June 11 – August 27, 5 – 8 p.m.
Join Fridays on the Mall every Friday this summer, from June 11 to August 27, at the Snowmass Village. Enjoy live music, extended hours and specials from shops and retailers, happy hour food and drink deals, kid’s entertainment, and more.

Tri for the Sun
June 12, 7 a.m.
The Tri for the Sun triathlon is hosted by the Town of Carbondale Parks and Rec Department and Sunlight Mountain Resort. It’s the first-annual triathlon event that features swimming, biking, and trail running through the beautiful Roaring Fork Valley.

Dinner + Movie at Ajax Tavern
June 14 – August 18, 8 p.m.
 Join us Monday nights this summer season for dinner and a movie on Ajax Tavern's mountainside patio. Order off the Ajax menu or reserve a special Veuve Clicquot package. Join at 8 p.m. for an 8:30 pm showtime.

Glenwood’s Downtown Market
June 15 – September 21, 4 – 8 p.m.
Every Tuesday evening, check lout local produce, gifts, baked goods, flowers, tea, and honey. Rain or shine in Glenwood Springs’ downtown, on Seventh Street.

Carbondale Farmers’ Market
June 16 – September 29, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Join Carbondale Arts on the 4th Street Plaza Lawn on Wednesdays for a local famers’ market. Live music will be played on the second and last Wednesdays of each month.

Berry Special Weekend
June 18 - 20
In lieu of Strawberry Days, the Glenwood Springs Chamber Resort Association is collaborating with local businesses and organizations for a weekend of micro-events, promotions, and giveaways, including a “reverse parade.”

The Big Dog Show
June 18 – 20, 5 – 8 p.m. 
Taking place on the lawn in Snowmass Base Village, the Big Dog Show showcases 20 giant steel dog sculptures, created and welded by artist Dale Rogers. Be sure to bring the dogs (and the kids!) to meet these giant pups as they take over Snowmass. This event is free and open to dog owners and non-dog owners alike.

Hotel Colorado Dad’s Day
June 19, 2-10 p.m.
 Celebrate dad with a happy hour, $2 off all beer from 2 – 10 p.m., including a sponsored Breckenridge Brewery beer tent, with t-shirts, hats, and other swag at the Hotel Colorado courtyard.

Snowmass Rodeo
June 23 – August 18, 7 p.m.
The Snowmass Rodeo celebrates 47 years of operations during summer 2021. This long-standing Western tradition includes country music, cowboys and cowgirls, horses, livestock, and family fun. The Snowmass Rodeo takes place on Wednesdays at 7 p.m., rain or shine.

Snowmass Art Festival
June 26, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The Snowmass Art Festival is a juried art show featuring original handcrafted artwork. This free two-day event showcases local Colorado and national artists, representing a wide array of mediums including painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, glass, wood, and more. This outdoor festival will take place on the Base Village Events Lawn.
