Follow candlelit paths through campus as you tour artists’ studios, visit the opening of our latest exhibition and shop for original artwork and creatively inspired gifts. Gingerbread Houses for Kids

3 pm to 4 pm - Basalt Regional Library - FREE

"Make your very own gingerbread house creations! Design them, decorate them, and have fun with your friends during our annual gingerbread party. Participants can either take their creations home, or leave them on display in the library. Recommended for grades 1st-4th."

Annual Teen Gingerbread House Competition

3 pm to 4 pm - Basalt Regional Library - FREE

"The annual gingerbread house competition is back! Enter alone or with friends and compete to make a creative and festive gingerbread house. All supplies provided. Grades 5+."

Yoga and Hot Springs

6 pm to 9 pm - Avalanche Ranch - Redstone - $25 CASH ONLY (Repeats weekly, October 02, 2019 to April 29, 2020)

"Join Whitney Roginski at Avalanche Ranch Wednesday evenings for an all levels gentle yoga practice from 6-7pm followed by a nourishing soak in the hot springs till 9pm. Winter Wonderland

6 pm to 8 pm - Hotel Colorado, Glenwood Springs - FREE

"The Hotel Colorado invites you and your family to join us for our new Winter Wonderland series! These free events will take place the first 3 Thursdays in December – 5th, 12th and 19th. They start with Caroling in the Lobby by local school choirs who will perform two sets - one at 6:00 p.m. and another at 6:20 p.m. Participating schools include; Two Rivers Community School on December 5, Glenwood Springs Middle and High School on December 12 and Rifle High School on December 19. Caroling is followed up with Classic Christmas movies in the Roosevelt Room starting at 6:45 p.m. December 5 features Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer, December 12 is The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, and December 19 is The Polar Express. Various Christmas crafts will also be available in the Roosevelt Room. A concession stand will be selling hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn, candy, drinks and more for both the kids and adults to enjoy! If you are able to, we incite you to also participate in our Toy Drive in partnership with Salvation Army. Bring a toy and drop it at our front desk to give back to our community and help a family in need."


St. Stephen Christmas Program

4th Annual YMHS Taste of the Holidays & Gift Bazaar

"Please join us for our 4th Annual YMHS Taste of the Holidays & Gift Bazaar, which includes a bake sale, wishing tree, homemade Pork Chile Verde, Wille Chili, and Veggie Wille Chili, and handmade items. Our students have been hard at work making plantable seed ornaments, jewelry, jams & jellies, candies, cookies, gardening-related products including gardener’s hand cream and soaps, jarred herbs, Paperwhites (bulb flowers) in decorated recycled candle jars, and more and the students make THE best chilis! Individual students will be selling welded products/art, dreamcatchers, etc. and one student artist will draw portraitures during the event. The $5.00 admission covers our costs in providing participants tastes of everything. Children under 12 are free. We encourage you to bring children, friends, family, and co-workers to this fun event. All proceeds go to creating a fund for food and projects materials to support our Sustainable Science program which includes healthy cooking, organic gardening, building and crafting things, and basic life skills classes. Holiday Enterainment: O&O

O&O (Folk/Bluegrass): The two met while studying at Paul McCartney’s Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts where they had the unique opportunity of a one-on-one songwriting session with Sir Paul.
